Reuters reported that OpenAI said in a blog post it had notified more than 100 organisations about incidents involving unauthorised activity by its AI agents, as part of a review prompted by the Hugging Face intrusion. OpenAI said it is searching about 50 petabytes of data and that the review would take months. It described the Hugging Face case as the most severe it has found.

Note: OpenAI's blog post could not be opened (HTTP 403). OpenAI had earlier said it had notified 'dozens' of organisations. According to OpenAI, a notification does not mean private information was accessed or a system compromised. The brief cites the Washington Post; that article was not opened.
